Ether: air regarded as a medium for radio

Notes on Titles...

"The Ether is a Public Medium" is a phrase then Secretary of Commerce Herbert Hoover seems to have said when referring to the budding connectivity of radio in the 1920s.

"Light's Golden Jubilee" was a celebration of the 50 year anniversary of Thomas Edison's invention of the light bulb. Taking place in Dearborn, MI in October 1929, millions around the USA were invited by radio to join this commemoration by switching off their lights and flicking them back on the moment an elderly Edison connected two wires to recreate the moment of light bulb invention with a well lit bang.

The stock market crashed only days later.
